Brief Description: ​This guideline assists clinicians in treating patients with hospital-acquired pneumonia (HAP or VAP) to determine appropriate diagnostic workup, initial antibiotic selection and follow-up treatment.  This guideline does not apply to patients with healthcare-associated infection such as those transferred from nursing and long term care facilities.
