Medical Guideline: QTc Prolongation and Prevention of TdP

Brief Description: ‚ÄčTorsades de Pointes (TdP) is a ventricular tachycardia characterized by a twisting of the peaks of the QRS complex across the isoelectric line and is associated with a long QT or QTc. TdP is often associated with prolonged corrected QT intervals (QTc). This guideline was developed to help standardize treatment as well as prevent under- and over-monitoring QTc intervals.
