Plant Varietal: Soybeans- Certified Conventional: Resnik
RESNIK is a high yielding variety from the soybean breeding program at the Ohio Agricultural Research and Development Center released in 1982. The variety carries the Rps1k gene which confers resistance to races 1-10, 13-15, 17, 18, 21 and 22 of Phytophthora root rot. Resnik has shown superior yield potential in pre-release testing in Ohio and regional trials. Resnik is a mid Group III in maturity, about 4 to 6 days earlier than Williams 82. Resnik exhibits purple flowers, brown pubescence and tan pods at maturity and has yellow seeds with a dull luster and black hila.
